In many cultures, parents have the support of the whole community when a child is born, and throughout the child’s development. While the mother is resting after giving birth, other people come to provide care for the newborn.
The birth of a child is a tumultuous time that requires constant presence and availability. At Marraine Tendresse de l’Estrie, we want every family to have access to support in the great adventure that is welcoming a newborn! So, our team of sponsors can offer you a free respite service in your own home.
3 hours per week
for 12 weeks
Free of charge
and confidential
Whether as a preventive measure, for your own well-being, or when you are feeling exhausted, a sponsor can lend you a helping hand.
You can have the same sponsor visiting every week for 12 weeks during your baby’s first year of life. Your sponsor can give you a little time to take a nap, do chores, have a bath, etc.
Our sponsors are carefully selected, and we take time to get to know them so we can provide you with the best possible pairing.
